MARINA BEACH & SURROUNDING AREA
The property is situated off Marina Drive, in the quiet residential area and village of Marina Beach. Marina Beach itself is located on the South Coast, or Hibiscus Coast, of South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal Province, lying just south of the town of Margate and between the villages of San Lameer and Southbroom. The latter is well known for the Southbroom Golf Club and the Frederika Nature Preserve.
The San Lameer Estate was the first golfing estate and resort to be developed in South Africa. It remains the most sought after of its kind and is the only golf estate in South Africa which has direct access to two blue flag beaches. San Lameer is a 169 hectare nature conservancy, landscaped with 620 privately owned luxury villas surrounding the challenging 18 hole, professional golf course, and includes a world class hotel.

THE TOWN OF MARGATE
Margate is the nearest main town to the property and, being 10 km away, can be reached in 10 to 15 minutes. This is a lively town providing all the facilities which a resident of Marina Beach is likely to want or need. There are excellent shopping and the usual commercial facilities, numerous bars and pubs and a great selection of restaurants and night clubs.
There are also fine art galleries and craft shops, whilst two major attractions are the Margate Bird Park, with its walk-though aviary and wonderful collection of exquisite birds, and Margate Golf & Country Club, only 3 km from the sea, but with stunning scenery by virtue of its relatively high ground.
A popular seaside resort, Margate is considered the heart of the Hibiscus Coast. Margate has its own local airport which is about 15 km from the property. This provides shuttle services between it and other local airports and with some of the international airports. Nearest of these is King Shaka International Airport, 180 km away.

It is said to be three times bigger than Durban International Airport, which it has largely replaced and is situated 35 km north of Durban City Centre.
