The Villa was originally a medieval castle built in the 1000’s, which was unfortunately destroyed in 1150 in a battle to defend Florence from Siena. In 1705, a wealthy family bought the castle ruins and used its foundations to build the Villa, which is now elaborately decorated in the elegant historic style of the 18th-century.
The main villa is 995m2 (10710,10 sq ft) in size. The ground floor has 4 living rooms all featuring different and unique fireplaces. The Villa’s dining room can be found in the tower of the original medieval castle, which was left intact upon the construction of the Villa.
