First mentioned in 1586, Vihterpalu manor’s majestic late Classicist main house dates back to the 1820s, when it belonged to noble Baltic German family, von Knorrings. Gustav von Knorring, an innovative business man of early 19th century, gave the manor the look as we know it today.
Being one of the most beautifully renovated manors in Estonia, Vihterpalu boasts majestic two-storey classicist main building, featuring a bright front facade adorned with three triangular frontispieces and a grand double staircase. The main building of the manor offers more than 19 suites and exclusive rooms, fully equipped with stylish furniture to entertain even the most demanding guests. For events, the manors largest banquet hall is suitable for hosting over 100 people and the breathtaking land surrounding the manor offers exemplary opportunity for holding open-air events. The SPA- and sauna house adjacent to the main building features 12 extra bedrooms while the owner's residence offers 300 square meters of historical living space and includes 6 bedrooms and a charming backyard balcony. The impressive manor complex is located on north-west side of the Vihterpalu River and the majestic park surrounding the manor retains over half a century old Swiss pines and spruces.
Today, Vihterpalu Manor serves as a luxury hotel and is located only 1-hour drive from Tallinn airport. For ultimate accessibility, the property premises also include a helicopter landing spot and easy traffic roads. With an extra tennis-court, 3-minute drive and a direct access to the sea and great hunting forests nearby, Vihterpalu manor offers ultimate privacy, picturesque nature and most historical environment one can imagine.
