A period unlisted three double bedroom early nineteenth century end of terrace home on three floors in addition to cellar and vaults, garden, garage, and off street parking in Combe Down village, Bath.
This has been a great family home,. We are on the edge of beautiful countryside, with lovely walks to Combe Hay, Tucking Mill, Old Somerset Canal, and the Skyline walk with stunning views over Georgian Bath. We are very close to a Co-op, Post Office, useful general hardware store, barbers, bakery and pet shop. In the village, 0.7 miles away, is the very popular Darling Deli, and there is a large Sainsburys 0.6 miles away. The King William pub is 0.5 miles away, the Cross Keys is 0.4 miles away with good food and the Hadley Arms is 0.7 miles away. The schools are excellent here, with Combe Down Primary School rated Good by Ofsted, Paragon Junior School, Ralph Allen Senior School rated Good by Ofsted, Prior Park School and Monkton Combe Junior and Senior School.
The house has a shared driveway with off street parking for two cars and a garage. A stroll across the front lawn leads to the front door, and the hall leads down to the basement. There are two rooms here which have good head height and one has the original bread oven; these with two vaults in the front have potential for further development. On the ground floor is a spacious reception room with cornicing, and with two original alcoves on either side of the original mantelpiece, with gas fire. The large kitchen/dining room has a door which leads outside to the garden at the rear, and there is also a cloakroom on this floor.
On the first floor the master bedroom has two sash windows overlooking the garden and two alcoves with cupboards. The spacious bathroom has French doors onto a flat roof. Upstairs on the second floor there are two decent double bedrooms.
The main garden is at the back of the house, it is south facing, and largely laid to lawn. There are buses into Bath, which is 2.2 miles away, with the many individual shops, restaurants, and galleries. Bath Spa station has frequent trains to London in 1 hour and 10 minutes.
It has been lovely living in the friendly community of Combe Down with everything on my doorstep, but also excellent accessibility into Baths bustling centre one way and the open countryside the other way. Now the house is ready to be taken on its next journey with a new family.
