The Watersports village Goingarijp is centrally located in the Frisian Lake District close to Joure, Sneek and Grou and has two cozy marinas. The Sneekermeer and the ‘Staande Mast’ route can be reached within a few minutes by boat. A good restaurant is located at the lock.
The region is also known as a beautiful nature reserve for bird watchers, cyclists and hikers; such as along the Goingarypster Puollen, Langwarder Wielen, and nature reserve Grutte Griene.
All possible amenities such as shops, sports and schools are available in the nearby villages of Joure and Terhorne. In 10 minutes by car (20 minutes by bike) you are in Joure and in just over an hour in Amsterdam.
An idyllically located spacious rectory in neoclassical style from 1865, modernized to the comforts of today, while retaining authentic elements, large garden and new guesthouse. What is striking is the wonderfully spacious ground floor with high beamed ceiling; you experience fine light on all sides. The attractive open kitchen, spacious living room, office, 4 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms make this a wonderful home.
A house and environment that immediately conquer your heart, the route to it is already a party and you don't want to leave. A popular water sports village with the marina at “it hôfje”, near the Sneekermeer under the smoke of Joure / A6 at an hour's drive from Amsterdam. When you arrive at the house, the well-kept courtyard with monumental buildings is immediately noticeable. The sleek hedges, a church from 1770 with a beautiful bell chair directly opposite the house giving you the feeling that you have entered another time.
The well-kept rectory has a former main entrance on the west side with an authentic front door and folding stained glass hall doors, as well as a central main entrance on the east side where the driveway also leads to the garage, guest house and garden.
This east entrance / hall with red stone tiles, modern toilet, corridor and meter cupboards gives access to the spacious open kitchen where the impressive "old beams with a modern touch" immediately catch the eye. Equipped with dining / cooking island, authentic tiles and all luxury kitchen appliances such as Fratelli Onofri double oven gas stove, combi steamer, Miele dishwasher, refrigerator, etc., this is a very cozy living kitchen and the central area downstairs. The long dining table in front of the large windows overlooking the fruit trees and the church with bell chair, the fireplace with all-round burner and the warm rich oak floor complete the picture.
Walking along the original stained glass doors of the hall at the west entrance, the kitchen leads to the bright living room at the rear of the house, where again that beautiful immense beam construction creates a cozy yet contemporary atmosphere. Cozy and sheltered, surrounded by large windows that look out over the old trees, you can relax with a book in the bench with the fire on. On this side of the house, patio doors give access to the garden and the guesthouse. In the same open space that actually revolves around the hall, you continue to the office area, a pleasant, bright workplace, also centrally located next to the main entrance and the stairwell.
Upstairs are 4 spacious bright bedrooms, 1 with en-suite bathroom with toilet, bath, walk-in shower and washbasin. Some bedrooms have a view of the starting island of the Sneekermeer. A 2nd bathroom with underfloor heating, washbasin furniture, toilet and walk-in shower is centrally located on the landing opposite the storage / white goods room where the installation for the central vacuum cleaner system is also placed. All rooms have plenty of storage space, Velux skylights with fly screens and blackout curtains. The first floor is also laid with oak planks.
GUEST COTTAGE / OFFICE / GARAGE
A spacious multifunctional guest house with floor was built behind the house in 2010. The residence currently serves as an apartment, office plus garage / workshop, but could also serve as an excellent double B&B apartment or informal care home. The total living space is 97m2.
The hall gives access to a bathroom with toilet, sink, shower and meter cupboard. A door on the left leads to the apartment with French doors, a bright living room with attractive wooden beams, an oak wooden floor and modern kitchen with 2 burner stove, extractor and fridge. The floor is accessible via the stairs in the hall with a more than spacious mezzanine / bedroom plus separate bedroom. The guesthouse is heated by its own central heating boiler.
A door on the right leads to the heated garage / workshop of 19 m2, where the garage door can easily be changed into windows. A symmetrical view has been taken into account during construction.
The garden around the rectory has a generous size of 1300 m2 and has various sun and shade areas where you can relax. Many fruit trees such as pear, stewed pear and apple trees grow here, including old Dutch varieties, but the walnut and hazelnut trees are also well represented.
