Druids Park House is an impressive Victorian villa dating from 1876. The house has been comprehensively and thoughtfully refurbished over the last 10 years and is now a beautiful and comfortable family home which is also ideal for entertaining. The house is characterised by its well preserved original features: polished wooden floors, tiled floors, working fireplaces, astragal windows, ornate cornices and ceiling roses, working window shutters, deep skirtings, panelled doors and brass door handles and a splendid wrought iron and oak staircase to name a few. The house is decorated throughout with Farrow and Ball paint colours and Zoffany, Mulberry and Cole and Son wallpaper.

A rhododendron lined driveway leads to parking at the front of the house, where the splendid front entrance opens via an outer and then an inner vestibule, tiled with Fired Earth floor tiles, to the carpeted reception hall giving access to all the main reception rooms. The south facing drawing/morning room has triple aspect windows and overlooks the large lawned garden, with an original fitted bookcase spanning one wall of the room, making an attractive feature. There is also a decorative open fireplace tiled with Fired Earth tiles and Brazilian slate. The sitting room is similarly impressive, with a large south facing bay window, original cornicing and ceiling rose, original sash and case windows, interior paneled door with brass handles, a recessed built-in cupboard with glass and wood door, and a Jotul wood-burning stove set into the original fireplace with, Brazilian slate surround.

The sitting room is open to the dining room, with a feature wall of Mulberry wallpaper, and adjacent to the dining room is the kitchen. With solid oak units and pewter door handles, polished granite worktops, a butler's sink with mixer tap, limestone flooring from Classical Flagstones (with underfloor heating) and a four door AGA, it is the epitome of a perfect family country house kitchen. Integrated appliances include a ceramic induction hob, a double fan oven, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, a drinks fridge, and wine racks and vegetable basket shelves built into the timber units. There are Fired Earth tiles surrounding the AGA. There is a central kitchen island with room for stools and a large family sized dining table. In addition to these rooms, there is also a study decorated with Zoffany wallpaper and ultra fast broadband, a utility room with built-in painted wooden cupboards, laminate worktops, a large double butler's sink and a Brazilian slate floor and a cloakroom/WC with a Heritage suite on the ground floor.

On the first floor, a broad landing gives access to the bedrooms, all of which are double sized and are beautifully decorated. The principal bedroom with original impressive ornate cornicing and large celling roses has a huge bay window overlooking the large garden, and a luxurious large en suite bathroom with a Heritage roll top bath, Aqata walk in shower, Buckingham double wash basins and lavatory and a marble tiled floor with underfloor heating and heated towel rail. Bedroom three has an en-suite shower room tiled with marble tiles, and heated towel rail and the remaining three bedrooms share a large family bathroom which also has marble floor tiles with underfloor heating, heated towel rail and Cole and Son Wallpaper. A small room off the landing is currently used as a gym, but would also make a good office or second study

The garden at Druids Park extends to approximately 1.5 acres and lies mainly to the south and east of the house. It has many mature trees and shrubs including birch, beech, conifers, azaleas and flowering cherry trees. An ornamental pond and herbaceous beds provide a focal point on the terraced lawn and there is a pretty Victorian summerhouse with pergola amongst the rhododendrons. Closer to the house is a paved terrace for sitting out in good weather and a herbaceous border runs along the south side of the kitchen garden wall. The partially enclosed kitchen garden has a decked area for outside seating as well as its original cast iron washing green poles. There is also a vegetable garden with raised beds.
