This is a beautiful piece of country with 3 miles of live creek frontage on Arenosa Creek, about 400 acres of hardwoods (oaks, pecans, hickory) and about 500 acres of pasture with mesquite and huisache. It is located about 2 miles south of US 59 between Edna and Inez. There are 6 small natural lakes (1/4 to 1 acre) scattered in the creek bottom and one pond that the owners built. There are over 5 miles of built-up all-weather roads. The place is a sportsman’s paradise. The owners have been carefully managing their deer harvest since they have owned the ranch and the deer quality has skyrocketed as the bucks have been able to mature. The owner killed a 164” whitetail on the property. Buck to doe ratio is very solid. Lots of hogs, great turkey hunting, good duck hunting in the creek bottom, especially for wood ducks, mallards and a mix of other ducks. Bobcats, coyotes, squirrels and many other small game are on the ranch. Good dove hunting and could be better with planting of food crops, not many quail though an occasional covey will materialize. Of course, Texas favorite pest, the feral hog, can be found. There is a camp site with a three-bedroom, two-bath trailer along with a large Morgan building as a social building.
