Located in an exceptional panoramic position near Montalcino, in the province of Siena, nestled among the hills of this verdant territory, a region of vineyards (Brunello vineyards are just next to this property), white oaks and holm oaks and thick bushes, this castle lies along a scenic road giving enchanting views of the valleys and the quintessential landscapes of this beautiful area of Val d'Orcia and Tuscany. The road leading to it is named after the Castle and is flanked by two thick rows of old cypress trees. The massive brick structure that dates back to the XIV century is made up of two separate blocks with a sloping base. On the southern side there are newer buildings from the sixteenth century and restored later. Close to the historic structure there is a charming family chapel made on an octagonal plan, dating back to the sixteenth century, part of the whole complex. The total area of the structure is 3800 square metres, which extend along three levels in addition to the cellars. The surrounding land is 5000 square metres with a further 7 hectares on the north side which enjoy good exposure to the sun, a very generous land rich in organic and nutrient substances, excellent for vineyards. The property needs to be completely restored.
