The Mansion House has been known by a few names in its long history, starting out as Dollarbeg Castle when originally built in the 1890s. The magnificent Scots Baronial house was designed by Stirling based architect Ebenezer Simpson, as the the main home for Victorian railway tycoon Henry Dobbie, described in the history books as a 'gentleman farmer'.
