Hugely influenced by their time overseas and a clear passion for interior design, the décor and specification are exceptional. Farrow and Ball wallpaper and paints were used along with Zoffany paints throughout. A bespoke and subsequently award-winning kitchen was designed and fitted by Noel Dempsey, as was the coat and boot storage in the hallway, along with the wall panelling in the family room and fitted wardrobes in two of the bedrooms. Double-glazed windows were sourced from and fitted by W&J Bolger. The bathrooms were designed by Versatile. The list of fit-out is extensive and reads like a veritable A to Z of top of the range design, brands and manufacturers.

Also deserving of special mention are the beautiful gardens. Wrapped around three sides of the house, designed to screen and delight with interest and colour year-round and to provide for recreational and entertainment amenity. Mary Reynolds (Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal winner) and Lisa Murphy (Kilmainham Garden Festival Gold medal winner) were commissioned to design the large rear garden (L.85ft x W.45ft max). This wonderful, private space caters for both children and adults with an extensive lawn, play area and al fresco dining area, positioned directly off the kitchen and family / breakfast room. Practical, much needed storage for bikes and garden equipment is secreted away in the side passage. Damien Costello designed the front garden, which caters for parking for several vehicles and lots of comings and goings.

The location is fantastic - so quiet, yet very accessible to Rathmines, Rathgar and Ranelagh. The Luas stop at Milltown is a short walk away. The locality has an abundance of shops & restaurants with excellent quality food stores on Upper Rathmines Road and Dunville Avenue as well as those in the nearby villages.
