The building, other than a technical room for the systems (7 sqm – 75 sqft), houses four apartments. The units on both floors are connected via a door which is currently held shut, but it would be possible to have two bigger apartments.

STATE AND FINISHES
The hamlet is built over the remains of a medieval castle, whose origin can be traced back to the 12th century. The shape of the original fortress can be, more or less, identified with the current borders of the garden. The castle was destroyed in the first half of the 17th century and never built again: the current country houses have been built over the ruins by using the original stone and those walls that were still up. A recent renovation aimed at preserving the original walls and floors wherever possible, replacing the missing ones with modern materials that closely recall the original ones. The cottage, in particular, was an old chapel and has been restored and converted into a two-story house.
EXTERIORS
The buildings are surrounded by 5,000 sqm of garden covering what was once the medieval castle. Marked by stone terraces and walkways, the garden includes two swimming pools: the first one (12 × 6 m) close to the country house, and a second one (6 × 4 m) near the cottage and functionally reserved to the guests of this building.
All around, the estate covers a total surface of 24.0 hectares. Here we find a small Sangiovese hobby vineyard (1.2 ha) which is currently rented out to a third party who takes care of maintenance and harvesting.
