When it opened it was the only theatre in Lisbon with allusions to the Art Deco period in its proscenium stage arch in this style, high ceilings with verbena wood, a neon chandelier hanging from the ceiling and a suspended side box. A fashionable venue through the ages, it finally closed its doors in 1993 and degraded with time.

Moving fast forward to the 21st century, the Odeon Theatre was purchased in 2019 and began its conversion and transformation into a luxury residential building and restauration of the main theatre hall, converting it into a space that will accommodate a high-end restaurant that will pay homage to its history and style.
