This island is a natural paradise that opens the doors to the wonderful Chilean Patagonia, located in the Comau Canal sector, 1,600 meters from the town of Río Negro in Hornopirén, less than two hours from the city of Puerto Montt, in the one of the channels that connect the continent with the magical island of Chiloé.
The access to the property is by boat from the Rio Negro in Hornopirén pier. There are several alternative paved routes from Puerto Montt to this pier, highlighting route 7 on the Carretera Austral route.
There is a cozy cabin or refuge that has a kitchen, living room, 4 bedrooms suites, with the characteristic seal of southern refuges clad in wood and larch tiles. There is also a caretaker's house.
Pristine native forests which are accessed through trails, with views of the Yates and Hornopirén volcanoes and several glaciers, the island has several sandy beaches and 4 interior lagoons make this property a magical and unique place. Excursions to neighboring islands such as Llancahue, inside which are the wonderful hot springs of the same name, which have the particularity of springing from the sea, towards the end of the Comau channel are the porcelain hot springs that stand out for their conservation in a natural state .
The tour of the channels and fjords is a fabulous experience where you can enjoy sightings of seals, sea lions, dolphins and various birds such as cormorants, ducks, seagulls, sea chickens, herons and black-necked swans among others.
They are part of its natural environment: the seal colonies of Lilihuapi Island, the Quintupeu Fjord, the Huinay Marine Research Center, the Río Negro Waterfalls, Lake Cabrera, the Hornopiren and Pumalín National Parks together with Caleta Gonzalo are some of the dozens of natural attractions offered by its nearby environment.
