As its name indicates, hidden between mountains and the Yelcho Chico River, this magnificent property is located with unique characteristics that are difficult to match.
An area of 521 hectares, of which 80% corresponds to flat or gently sloping land with meadows and native forest, which means that its potentialities are diverse both in the productive field, be it livestock, organic agriculture, beekeeping and others, forest management , developments in the real estate, tourism or conservation area are some of the possible activities to develop in Fundo Escondido.
More than 7 kilometers of riverbank with the Yelcho River, beaches, impressive views of the Yelcho, Diablito and Frío snowdrifts or glaciers are part of the natural beauty of this property.
Today it has a caretaker's house and a shed as the only constructions and interior paths or trails provide connectivity to the entire property.
The prairies are surrounded by wonderful native forests that include mañíos, arrayanes, lumas, coihues, canelos and tepas that cohabit with a native fauna where red foxes, guiñas, pumas, quiques, huillínes or river otters, jergón ducks, black, stream cutters and spoon, flying quetros, caiquenes, coots, kingfishers, pudú, chucaos, hummingbirds, pigeons, turtle doves, cachañas, thrushes, thrushes, tiuques, caracaras, jotes, kestrels, owls and black woodpeckers.
Just 20 minutes from the property is Puerto Cárdenas, from where you can do fishing or sailing activities. Yelcho Lake breaks world records, in 2015 a Chinook salmon of 116 cm was caught, also in these waters the National Fly Fishing Award was won with a salmon of more than 17 kilos.
Navigating the lake and photographing its turquoise waters, in contrast to the eternal white snow of the glaciers, are part of unforgettable experiences to experience in the area.
