Cedar Lodge is located just 4km from the village of Longwood in County Meath. Longwood boasts a post office, St Nicholas primary school, Colaiste Clavin secondary school, a number of shops, a GAA club and a running club. A 12-minute drive will take you to the busy heritage of Trim which sits on the banks of the River Boyne. The town of Trim itself has a rich history and is famous for Trim Castle which was built in the 12th century and is Irelands largest Norman Castle. The kitchen is notable for its large u-shaped Tipperary sandstone island with a quartz countertop incorporating seating for six people. Double doors lead off the kitchen to a raised patio with glow in the dark stones which is a suntrap paradise on summer evenings. The living and dining area is an elegant yet relaxing space with an abundance of exposed timber which really enhances the log cabin atmosphere complete with a bespoke built in tv unit and wood pellet stove. There is also a sunroom off the kitchen with handcrafted wooden paneling that can double up as a tv unit or a beautiful window seat where you can unwind and enjoy the views of the landscaped gardens.
The large master suite is to the right of the living and dining area. It is an exceptional spot with its own patio, reached by French doors, a generous walk in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom featuring a shower cubicle situated behind the bed.
Upstairs the vast loft overlooks the living room in all its beauty. The loft features large modern cathedral style windows and beautiful wood paneling. The front loft is currently used as a second living room which is a cosy family space during the winter months while the rear loft is used as gym and offers panoramic views of the gardens. There are 3 further bedrooms upstairs, two double and one single all with ensuites as well as an impressive family bathroom with a made to measure quartz sink unit and a hand picked pebble shower floor.
