Grange Cottage is situated in the pretty village of Brinton, on a quiet country lane and set within unspoilt North Norfolk countryside within a few miles of popular destinations of Holt and the coastline. The North Norfolk Coast, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, can be found approximately six miles at Blakeney, a traditional fishing village, offering fantastic sailing, a selection of pubs and restaurants and galleries. The coastline offers a plethora of eateries including a Michelin-starred restaurant and county house hotel ‘Morston Hall’, a network of coastal paths, bird watching, seal trips, crabbing and sailing.
Surrounding the village of Brinton is gently undulating countryside with a network of footpaths and bridleways to enjoy directly from the house.
Grange Cottage is a most attractive village house, of distinctive brick and flint under a pantile roof, which has been the subject of a substantial extension and remodel of what was originally a modest period cottage.
The significant extension was thoughtfully designed, making sure that the house took in as much natural light as possible. This is most apparent in the kitchen/breakfast/living room, a fantastic space with vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling glazed sliding doors the entire southern elevation, out to an enclosed courtyard perfect for outside dining. At the heart of the house is a brilliant open plan space, taking in a dining area with fireplace, an exposed staircase and steps down to a sitting room measuring in all 13.3m x 5.3m, with bi-fold doors leading out to the gardens.
