"We have been creating beautiful homes for the past 20 years from renovating Grade II Listed properties to building unique new houses such as this delightful town house. We are passionate about reducing any environmental impact and always incorporate energy-saving technologies and this is well illustrated in St John’s Mews with the triple glazed windows and high-quality insulation. There is also a MVHR system. (Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery.) reduces dust, condensation and heat efficiency.
We chose this location because it is quiet and very convenient. It is only a quarter of a mile to the town centre and even closer to some of the ancient buildings and the Kings School entrance. It is great to be able to stroll down the road to the shops, pubs and eateries as well as meeting friends and family for a coffee or a visit to the theatre without needing to take the car or even get on a bus. You can also enjoy a walk with the dog alongside the nearby River Stour. At the same time if you want to get to London the fast train from Canterbury West will transport you to St Pancras in under an hour and it is not far from the A2 for Dover and Folkestone for trips to the Continent.
As well as the cathedral there are numerous other historic and interesting attractions to see including the Canterbury Norman Castle, the Canterbury Tales, St Augustine’s Abbey, Canterbury Heritage Museum, the Westgate, The Beaney House and the Canterbury Roman Museum. The city also has a wide variety of high street stores, individual shops and plenty of restaurants and bars as well as two mainline stations. It is home to two theatres, three universities and numerous state schools including three excellent grammar schools and a number of private schools such as the famous Kings School."
