Valley Trunk Estate, located on the quiet island of Virgin Gorda, occupies a commanding position overlooking Big Trunk Bay, a pristine white sand beach over 1,000 feet in length, situated on the leeward side of the island. With over eighteen acres of grounds, the Estate offers privacy within a natural setting, surrounded by huge granite boulders, landscaped grounds, and fronting the entire beach and rock headland. Situated in an elevated position, the main villa compound comprises six interconnected buildings accommodating the principal suite and living areas, plus a further nine bedrooms together with the dining room and professional kitchen. The living areas open to a substantial freeform pool with panoramic views to the west along the Sir Francis Drake Channel encompassing the southern islands of the BVI, Tortola, Beef Island, Scrub Island, and the Dogs. The island of St John in the United States Virgin Islands completes the canvas. A separate four-bedroom villa with a tennis court is also situated within the grounds. The principal suite is the only two-story building with living areas on the ground floor comprising the main lounge and bar area and an adjacent cinema room, and the bedroom suite on the upper level with a large balcony overlooking the pool and beach. Paths and a covered walkway connect the principal suite to the dining room building which features an air-conditioned main dining room that opens to wrap-around covered terraces for al-fresco dining. The professional-grade kitchen boasts ample food storage, preparation, and serving areas connected discretely to the separate service building. The nine en-suite bedrooms are situated within four connected buildings which include a separate living room and kitchenette for additional guest privacy. The bedrooms have different vistas of the sea and gardens and have been thoughtfully designed to maximize privacy. An internal road connects the main accommodation with the beach which includes the “Bali House”, a two-story Balinese-style structure overlooking the beach which provides bathroom facilities on the lower level and an open plan dining and day room on the upper level. The Bali House is in the process of being reconstructed. Multiple paths also connect the main house to the beach passing through the dramatic boulder field. The extensive beach has dramatic rock headlands at each end and a natural vegetation line behind providing privacy to the remainder of the Estate. A storage building close to the beach houses a range of beach toys with the waters suitable for a range of activities including snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and foiling. The Estate has been developed with full back of house facilities which include a two bedroom managers house, two staff houses, each with two bedrooms, plus a maintenance area with storage, laundry and back up generator.
