The Medieval Tower is a 12th-century watchtower located on the mountainside with spectacular 360-degree views of secluded valleys. It is perfect for those seeking privacy, relaxation, and tranquility in nature.
The outbuildings, gardens, terraces, and a 25-meter pool are aligned on an axis with the tower.
The East Terrace is the largest of the four terraces surrounding the tower and is perfect for breakfast and informal group dinners. A stone staircase and a horse ramp connect it to the medieval road where hikes, mushroom, and truffle foraging begin.
The West Pavilion appears to hover amongst the greenery overlooking the olive groves to the south and west. Surrounded by aromatic herb gardens, it is wonderful for conversation or tranquil contemplation. The fire pool makes a perfect place for a romantic sundowner before dinner.
The public spaces are central to the tower, easily accessible from all suites. Two large interlinked sitting rooms are on the first floor, one with a 12th-century fireplace and cantilevered balcony, and the other was originally used as a chapel. The dining room on the ground floor leads out to the East Terrace, the large professional kitchen, and the vegetable and herb gardens.
The suites are designed with a special focus on nature, featuring underfloor heating and chilled floors powered by solar energy. The main tower is a majestic suite with a mezzanine library overlooking the valley. Other suites are distributed in the central tower, each with unique features and panoramic views. There is a Forest Suite and SPA in the surrounding forest, a 3 minute walk to the tower.
The property is located in a nature reserve with various trekking and cycling paths, offering activities such as horse riding, Tai Chi, Yoga, massages, and the harvesting of local products such as asparagus and truffles. The olive season provides an experience of cold pressing at a local olive mill.
