Next to the house there is another plot with 3.96hectares where vines for production of excellent wines can be planted. On the land with the house there are several fruit trees as well as olive trees that can be used for the production of olive oil. The property is in a privileged location in the classified Vale do Douro World Heritage for Humanity and with stunning views.

The Alto Douro Vinhateiro is a region in the North of Portugal. The Douro River winds through and the region has been producing wines form more than 2000 years with the emphasis on Port Wine. In 2001 UNESCO classified it as a Heritage for Humanity, in the category of cultural landscape, part of the whole demarcated region – about 24,000 hectares.
