In 1926, Ottawa industrialist, JG Butterworth, built High Meadow in prestigious Kingsmere. High Meadow was a gathering place for Ottawa society over the course of several decades and Mackenzie King was known to enjoy visits on the front porch. High Meadow is a private estate surrounded by the Gatineau Park, just 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa. It is a magical, one of a kind property with a rich past steeped in the history of the Canada's capital. The house has provided happy memories, inspiration, and creative energy to its lucky inhabitants for nearly one hundred years. That history is now looking for its next chapter.
