Designed by one of the most renowned Czech architects still working today—Josef Pleskot—this award-winning house is surrounded by stately villas from the 1930s. Like them, it showcases a forward-thinking style and the most modern materials.
The residence has a total of four floors, all connected by an elevator. The social zone on the ground floor consists of a central dining room with a kitchen on one side and living room on the other, a study, and a guest toilet. Three bedrooms (one with an en suite bathroom and a terrace), a bathroom, and a separate toilet are on the first floor and the master bedroom (with air-conditioning, an en suite bathroom, walk-in closet, and fireplace) is on the second. This highest floor also has a roof terrace with a fireplace. A home gym, wine cellar, and utility room are set up in the basement.
The dominant element throughout is concrete, but wood, steel, and stone feature just as prominently. The double height ceiling in the living room, several skylights, and strategically placed mirrored surfaces keep the interior light and airy. It's not surprising therefore that it won several architecture awards.
This quiet residential part of Prague is close to several parks and a public swimming pool. Use the riverside bike path, tram, or car to get to the city center.
Floor area 401 m2, terraces 145 m2, garden 225 m2, land 543 m2.
