Description
Dunlop Manor is a magnificent grade A-listed Scots Baronial mansion designed by architect David Hamilton in the early 19th century for Sir James Dunlop. It continued to be owned by the Dunlop family until 1932 when it was purchased by East Ayrshire Council. Its architecture has a distinctly Scottish flavour with its dramatic roof line with turrets, cones, pyramids, ogees and splendid tourelles. Built of blond sandstone under a slate roof, Dunlop Manor was divided in 2016 into luxury apartments which share immaculate communal areas and grounds. The apartment offered for sale occupies a ground floor position.
1 Dunlop Manor is entered via the grand reception hallway with impressive atrium. Entering the apartment itself, the long, spacious hallway allows access to the rooms off. The accommodation includes a spacious open plan kitchen, living and dining room with windows overlooking the garden. The fitted Poggenpohl bespoke kitchen has high spec built in appliances and a range of storage options with larger white goods housed in the separate utility room. The apartment has two well-proportioned bedrooms with the principal benefiting from an en suite shower room and built in wardrobes, the second bedroom has a WC. Finally, a contemporary family bathroom includes a low level wash hand basin, WC and bath with shower over. All rooms have windows, some of which enjoy dual aspect outlook over the garden and surrounding countryside. Further benefits include gas central heating, double glazed sash and case windows, secure video door entry system, factored building and grounds, two designated parking spaces along with communal visitors parking in a desirable semi-rural location.
