Description
LAND
The grassland is situated north of the hamlet of Gate Helmsley, east of York and close to the A166 and Stamford Bridge. The field has road frontage and is sheltered by mature hedgerows and trees. The land is ideal for agricultural or equestrian purposes, with significant amenity and conservation potential.
The land is classified as Grade 2 under the Agricultural Land Classification, with soils from the Everingham series, a fine sandy soil, suited to winter cereals, some vegetables, root crops and grassland.
The land is generally flat at 20 metres above sea level.
FIELD SHELTER
Within the land are the remains of a timber field shelter, the planning status of the building is unknown. The building could be replaced or improved to provide stabling and or livestock housing, subject to the necessary consents.
