Seller Insight:

What is your favourite room of the house and why?

The snug. This is the sanctuary at the end of the day when all that has to be done has been done and it is possible to relax. All rooms are suited to their purpose and the combined layout has made the home a place to spend time 'in' without need to be 'out'.

Who do you think would be the next ideal owner?

A young family looking for space, security and good schools for children, in a rural setting with abundant wildlife, and close by towns for shopping and stations for commuting.

What do you love most about the house and why?

The home is a product of our concept to meet the same criteria that a prospective buyer might have, and it has been developed to the extent that every part of the 'estate' has our fingerprints and sweat on our creation; notwithstanding it still has potential for further development. Viewing owls, deer and other wildlife from the garden is a joy.
What do you love about the local community?
The village community numbers around seventy enabling everyone to know everyone, yet sufficiently respectful that the relations are not intrusive, and yet are responsive in times of need.

How easy is it to commute from here?

We have commuted to Devizes, London and Heathrow Airport. The drive to Devizes is 15-20 minutes by car. The drive to Pewsey station for London Paddington is 15-20 minutes and to Andover or Grateley station for London Waterloo-bound trains is 35 minutes. The drive to London Heathrow airport is between 75 minutes and 90 minutes.

What made you choose this property over others that were available at the time?

The location, space and potential to develop.
