Tenuta Malacoda is located only 3km from the town of Trequanda, in the province of Siena. The estate is found in an area that borders towns such as Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano, known for their wine production. Trequanda is a medieval village and one of the most unspoilt areas of the province of Siena. The area was developed around the 13th century. The original castle and tower still stand in the historic centre, along with the splendid Romanesque church dedicated to San Pietro and Sant’Andrea.
Siena is located 30 minutes away and is known as one of the most beautiful and visited cities in Tuscany because of its rich history, works of art and local traditions, and it is here that the Palio di Siena takes place each summer in Piazza del Campo. The popular horse race has been a tradition in Siena since the Middle Ages.
Due to the location of the property, you can also visit coastal towns such as Cecina, San Vincenzo and Bolgheri.
